RARE Circa 20's TIGER DAMASCENE Cigarette Case

What a BEAUTY!

This Piece is EXTREMELY Rare because of the Tiger Scene on the Front and the
Brightness of the Image. These were made during the Komai Period from
1900-1940. This One Came from an Antique Store on Charles Street, Beacon Hill
in Boston and was Deemed to be from the 1920's.

The Image on the Front Features the Tiger with the Moon and Foliage. The Back
shows Mt. Fuji with Three Birds in Flight, and the Signature with “24 Gold”.
Many of these Pieces Do Not Feature Scenes on the Back. The Inside is Black and
Slim with an Elastic Band to Hold Cigarettes or your Credit Cards.

The Illustrations Are Made from 24K Gold and Silver Threads Inlaid into Iron
and Finished with Damascene. As Mentioned Above, these Pieces Were Made During
the Komai Period of 1900-1940 in Japan.

This is Such a Beautiful and Unique Antique Cigarette Case to Add to Your
Collection!

Width - 3 2.8"

Near Mint Condition - This Lovely Damascene is qualified as Near Mint. It has
some age-appropriate minor dents on the right front. The Tiger Scene is in
Impeccable Condition, especially for the Age of the Piece. There is some
age-appropriate wear on the back. These are Highly Collectible Pieces for their
Artistry!
