An Art Deco era cigarette case made by Evans, an American company, in frosted
plastic and sterling silver. The top is a pressed relief featuring a pair of
stylized leaping gazelles in a leafy background. In the lower right corner are
the initials "CH," probably for the designer. The case dimensions are 7/16 H x
5 1/2 W x 3 1/8 D inches. This item dates to the 1930s or '40s.
CONDITION: Very good. Some residual silver tarnish and light surface abrasions
to the frosted plastic.
