Rare and distinctive hammered white metal (possibly silver plated, untested)
bottle holder with separate cap on a chain. Unbranded, no markings. Features
decorative looped rope, bobble and crown edgings, with shallow hammered
texture. A fantastic piece to display a large bottle of wine as part of
restaurant or celebration decor. Circa early to mid 1900s. (Bottle in photos
for display only and not included).
MEASUREMENTS:
All measurements are approximate and in centimetres.
Body: 23.8 x 9 x 9.
Cap: 3.3 x 3.3 x 2.5cm excl. top loop.
Chain: 24 x 0.3cm.
CONDITION: (Zoom in photos)
Used antique - very good overall, chain and cap intact. Sold as found.
Surface wear, patina and slight internal oxidisation, as expected with use and
age.
